Question about the camera protector on phantom 4 pro

I'm new with my phantom 4 pro my question is could you damage the camera if you power up your drone with the camera protector still on ? Because I have done that more then once

Hi you are not alone on this i now leave mine off,even back in box they are off, thankfully no damage here for me

So my thinking is correct in that you can do damage to the camera I will be doing the same as you, I will not be using that proctor ever again thank you so very much for your quick response

Yes, it may damage the gimbal motors.

Set up a pre-flight routine and/or stick a label to the protector

I keep a bright fluorescent Orange Lanyard on my P4P gimble guard that says "REMOVE BEFORE POWER-UP". Works like a charm. Can't miss it.
