So I finally ordered my Phantom 3. I am looking to get prop guards since it's my first drone and I have no experience. Are there any downsides or disadvantages to prop guards? Loss of stability or control during flight? Are the quick disconnect ones ok to use? Any advice ?

Welcome to the site... try using the search function. there are literally 1000+ threads on prop guards. Not try to push ya off, but check into why and who uses them....

I have quick disconnect ones. Just installed and will try them tomorrow. I took mine out for the first time last Monday so I feel I really don't need them. But we will see. That what I get for ordering them first.
