Hi all

Ive had a Phantom a couple of months and have finally got it to the point where I can show video to clients etc as an additional service I can offer in my video production business.

Its been quite a journey getting to a point where there is no jello etc as well as getting a post process together using after effects to stabilise the motion before editing in Vegas. I can say it's quite a relief to be on the other side of that little learning curve!

I filmed it in 1080 60fps and have cut it down to 720p when stabilising footage. Im going to try the 2k profile next and see if I can get 1080 after stabilising. For web I'd suggest 720p is fine

Nice! Well done.

Now I'm even more embarrassed about the quality of the video I've been getting. I've really got to get more practice time in so that I can get better at getting smooth shots.

Thanks for the positive feedback!

Dont forget pwright that I also stabilised that footage in post to get it really smooth. If only it looked like that straight out of the camera!

I'll have to come up with some excuse to spend money on AfterEffects and the stabilization plugin or make do with what I got.

You dont need any stabilisation plugins. You use motion tracking which is a standard after effects tool.
