In the FAQ for Ground station, under "parameters for ground station control", DJI states:

    200-meter height limit.

Is this true height or are they mistakenly referring to altitude?

If it is actually height, what does it relate to? The launch point altitude?

If I launch the Phantom from a 500mts altitude point will I then be able to program altitudes up to 700m?

    Thanks for any replies.

If I remember correctly height is relative from your launch point. Altitude is your height above sea level. They discuss this in the full ground station documentation which I'll need to revisit again before I start tinkering with my new ground station install.
