Here is the scenario, I was flying my P2V yesterday in GPS mode (S1 and S2 in top position) and flew until control signal lost, the RTH feature kicked in and it was returning home as expected. When the unit got to about 100ft away, I flipped S1 to center position and back to top position to regain control. All is well, and continued to fly, then my battery reached about 19% and the low battery RTH feature should have kicked in. it normally does at this point.
Had I not regained control during the first RTH, I believe that my low battery RTH would have kicked in.
I am pretty new at this (about 3 weeks) and don’t mess with S1 or S2, except to regain control of RTH, it just concerns me that the RTH did not kick in the second time around.
