Pointing RC in aircraft direction

I'm trying to fly long distance and having problem seeing the bird. Is there a way for me to know which direction to point the RC toward the bird (for maximum transmission)? I suspect it's the radar thingy on GO app, but not sure how that works.

Yes .. the radar display is the answer.
It shows you the direction to your Phantom and which way it is facing.
It's not complicated and shouldn't need much explanation.
A little observation and it should be clear to you.

Yeah I'm probably overcomplicating it. It just didn't seem to be pointing in the direction I thought the bird is at. I'll test it again where I can actually see the bird.
