Playing Videos on TV

Trying to play my videos from my P3S 2.7k via thumb drive. Do I actually need a UHD tv to play them?
When I try, they come out all scrambled.

You need a matching format on your TV. Downgrade to 1080p or 720p for better compatibility and also check what kind of formats your TV accepts on USB port.
