Playback lag in Adobe PP after changing camera and gimbal

All my footage since I replaced the camera and gimbal on my P4, when played back in Adobe Premiere Pro, has noticeable lag in the sequence screen. However, after editing the clips to make a video and exporting it to YouTube, there is no lag at all. Also, when I play the clips outside of Adobe PP, just double clicking the file in its folder, it also has no lag during playback. It's quite frustrating during editing even though it does not effect the final product for some reason. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are probably editing 4K footage......its not feasible,

Whatever format you are using Premiere is having trouble dealing with it. If the problem was the gimbal it would be consistent in all videos. Hope this helps.

I wonder why when PP exports the video to YouTube there is no lag. I guess PP encodes the footage or something? I'm pretty new to this. I appreciate your responses.

It's more likely that YouTube encodes it... But between the two of them yes it's getting an encoded

2.7k 30fps should be fine for Premiere Pro right?
