Pittsburgh Marathon Hires UAV Firm

I just heard tonight that the FAA is investigating the Pittsburgh Marathon for hiring a marketing firm who utilized a couple of UAVs.

The guy who was hired to film the event stated that the city obtained clearance for it from the FAA beforehand. He posted vids and info in the (US) Phantom Owner's group on FB.

It seems like every day I come on here, there's some more negative news about "drones" and I just get more depressed, so it was incredibly exciting to see this very positive news story coming from Pittsburgh, my hometown no less! We need more of these types of stories.
