lve just watched a YouTube video where he recommends discharging batteries down to 3% on regular basis. I can't find any other supporting info what is general thinking on this? Cheers

I recommend you don't fly your batteries down below 3.4V (see more details here) and store them like this. Check out the Phantom battery safety guidelines for additional tips that apply specifically to caring for Phantom batteries.
