Reminder with PayPal that there is a difference between sending funds to friends and family and a commercial business. One has buyers protection and the other does not.Everything seems legit. I’m using my PayPal credit account for added insurance.
Yes I asked a TON OF QUESTIONS! Just so I could get his responses in writing.Ask all the questions up front. If the seller states “works great” or “no problems”, and you get it. “As is” or not. eBay and/or Paypal will step in for a misrepresentation. I’ve been there.
I did not ask if the batteries were high capacity but I believe he did include info about the cycle life of the batteries. The six batteries makes it a good buy. Would be nice to know how many charge cycles on each one. Also if they are all the high capacity style.
Does the highlighted Ebay ikon on the bottom indicate it is an ebay sale? If so wouldn't a Paypal payment be protected?Note that any EBay listing that is sold "as is", is just that. See if the listing claims that he will 'accept returns' with a cretin length of time. If so, Paypall should help.
Since it is such a large purchase I understand your concerns, and I would feel the same.
E-Bay and PayPal are one in the same company. And yes, they are very good with managing buyer/seller disputes, almost to the point I'm afraid to even try selling anything on their site. I think there are more buyers trying to cheat the sellers than vice versa.
Ask to see the flight records for hours, number of flights, etc.
