Hi everyone. Im a new (previously owned)phantom owner and loving every minute of it. Lucky so far i guess. I have noticed when starting the drone that only three of props make that little twitch. I am wondering if that is a sign that the motor is on its last legs.

My P4P v2 does that as well. Sometimes it does all 4, but most of the times only moves 3. Although is almost a year old, it only has around 2-3 hours of flight time.

Ok thanks ansia. Do you know if there is a way to monitor the motors or know when they may need to be replaced?

I will keep note of that. Ive had it for about a month now and use it as often as i can but always apprehensive of something going wrong and loosing it. Thanks for your feedback. It was appreciated.

As the only moving/wearing parts are the bearings, unless damaged, they’ll likely outlast the drone.
A quick check for bearing health is to check outrunner post-flight temps with your fingers. They should all be similar. If you do this frequently you’ll develop a sense of normal.

Thanks. I will be sure to check the temperature after each flight. All these tips are appreciated.
