I posted a previous thread a few days ago voicing disappointment in the quality of images I was getting from my P4P. Several people responded, recommending settings changes to improve results. I'd like to acknowledge these folks and say that their recommendations made a big difference. To recap, I had been shooting raw at 100 iso, with an f11 aperture, in broad daylight but was getting noise in the skies, and less than sharp images. I followed the recommendation to open the lens to 5.6 and I enabled the histogram to make sure I wasn't underexposing, even if the image on my iPad looked too bright while shooting. Both of these measures sharpened the images, and greatly reduced the noise I was getting in the skies to an imperceptible level. With a bit of noise reduction and sharpening the final results are much, much improved over what I was getting earlier. I've posted an image shot as described.
