Hi everyone.
Haven't been here for a while as I haven't been flying the old Phantom for a while. I took it out yesterday and encountered a problem which hopefully someone has a fix for. Some time back I bought 2 after market batteries. They have been working fine all along but yesterday I suddenly got a " Battery signal error" warning come up on one of them. Anyone know what could be the cause of this and if there is a way to fix this? Thank you in advance for any help which may be provided.

@Starz,

Do you have any recommendations on how to test there quality?

:DTurned the drone on this morning and the Battery signal error is gone but now instead there is a Gimbal motor overload message. The gimbal is working perfectly. I have recalibrated it but the message is still there.

Hi Mate. Sometimes the warnings message of the aftermarket batteries shows at the begging. I have some batteries shows “ battery authentication failed” and cannot take off. I discharge the battery and charge again and the message removes, without flying the drone. Remember to give maintenance every 3 months to all the batteries. The notifications you can remove or delete in the settings section. Have a safe fly.

I have never used an aftermarket battery for any of the DJI products that I have and have no plans to do so.
Actually, I should have posted any P4 battery. :)

I successfully fixed the battery signal error. It wouldn't charge and only one LED was blinking. I cleared the PF flag from the battery control board chip. Then, when I put it in P4P, it reported battery signal error. I simply downgraded the P4P firmware, with the faulty battery in the bird. The installed firmware was V01.05.0600. The downgraded firmware was V01.01.0203. I downloaded the Dumldore 3V3 firmware flash tools from github and used that to flash. Today I tested the restored battery three times, hovering near the ground. 25 minutes of hovering time. The battery is from 2017!
