Phantom 4 arrived today from Apple. Love the new packaging. Updated the firmware via the app and went for a test flight.
Obstacle avoidance works. I thought the obstacle avoidance might be very intrusive, but it's not. I was able to go through an opening between two trees, no issue. Took it near the house, and it stopped 3-4 feet away from the house. It works almost like a parking sensor in a car. Gives a displayed measurement of how far away a potential obstacle is. The measurement however is inaccurate by 10ft or so, but it still manages to stop.
Did two flights, battery lasted for roughly 26-28min.
Will try "active-track" tomorrow. What I have read so far it won't adjust in elevation. Will try to find an open space to try this out.
Another observation was the noise. Phantom 4 seems way quieter overall compared to its older brothers or maybe its just me.
