Has anyone tested their max distance with the new FW?

Just updated to 1.5 and when I checked the txt file it appears to by different to any i have seen before.
Is this normal?
Also I get no response when I try to update the TX.
Any thoughts

This doesn't seem to be a file for updating to 1.5.30.

Go to DGI Go App and check the Aircraft FW after connecting to it.

I Checked that as soon as I finished the update.
1.4.10+ so seems to be correct.
I might leave it a little longer before flying to see if any body reports the same issue/problem?

Monkspark - MJB is right. it takes much longer than thirty seconds. 10 to 20 minutes usually. The beeps you here are normal. Start the update again with minimum 50% battery and put in a closet or garage if the beeps annoy you.

The only flashing lights you need to concern yourself with is the little led on the camera gimbal. it will flash alternating red and green during the update and the change to solid green when complete. Give it time.

From my experience, the update takes more than 30 seconds.
I would let it run longer and re read the intructions to make yourself that more familliar with the process.

Thanks MJB. Where do I find the instructions? There is nothing on DJI.com as all the instructions relate to V1.4 not 1.5..? Cheers

February 5th, 2014 at 2:15pm (some things you just don't forget) I was told I had aprox 2 years remaining due to the spread of prostate cancer into my spine and ribs (Hell, I didn't even know cancer went into ribs). Driving home from that appointment my wife and I decided to laugh as much as possible and live every possible moment to the fullest. Due to this, in May of 2015 I bought my P3P.

I was told that mobility would deteriorate beginning in the fall (true so far) and thus my ability to enjoy photography was going to be an impossibility until I was told about DJI and their Phantom. An extension of this enjoyment is, of course, this site and discussions with others who enjoy this hobby. I don't post much as there are so many others who really know what they are doing and I enjoy learning from them.

I just wanted to thank you for this sub discussion between us within this thread. I was on the verge of leaving this site completely however the information and discussions with other members is something I look forward to each morning as I sit and get ready for the day. Nothing like a good cup of coffee and reading about what is happening in the Phantom World.

Anyway, I have learned from earlier posts that you are from Edmonton. I just wanted to thank a fellow Canadian for your posts during this difficult time on this thread. I am truly sorry about what Ottawa is going to do to your Eskimos later today. LOL.

The results you posted from your text file are normal. Looks like the 1.5 update was successful.
You update the remote thru the GO app not the .bin file.

Theoretically if the top speed is, say 30mph, shouldn't the GPS keep the P within a small radius with winds up to 30 mph?

I have had my P3 since May and gone thru all of the FW upgrades, and when there are crosswinds over about 10 MPH, they will drift and you have to feed in a little left or right to fly a straight line. The will also drift it the IMU or the controller sticks are out of calibration-- so it is not a one situation fits all. All of that being said, I am not an expert by any means on GPS theory and you could very well have a valid point.

The results you posted from your text file are normal. Looks like the 1.5 update was successful.
