I received my P3P today
updated the firmware on both the bird and the rc.
Now Im charing the rc and battery.

My next few questions are
how do you change the horizon on the gimbal incase its not level
Also, are you able to change from 4k to 1080p from the DJI app while in mid flight?

The left dial on your controller will move the Gimbal Camerea up and down.

I don't have the Professional Version, but I believe you can only see 720p to your phone with the LightBridge.

No my question was the horizon. Not gimbal panning up and down. I want the gimbal to be level if its not already. I seen way too many p3 videos of the picture being tilted.
My second question was If Im filming in 4k can I stop the camera recording.. switch to 1080 mid flight and start recording again? For the sole purpose of wanting to switch from 4k 30 fps to slower 1080 60 fps shots Without landing the bird. My gopro can do it from my app on phone i dont see why DJI cant.

There are settings in the Pilot app to adjust the center and roll of the camera. Go to settings ans the gimbal icon while connected to the P3.

Yes you can change video and camera settings while flying.

Open your pilot app
Go Ito camera
Go into mode
Go into sensors, top left
Go to the bottom to screen where it says calibrate, scroll down a little.
Go into IMU calibration
Be sure your bird is on a flat surface when you calibrate.

I also got mine today, took two 5 minute flights, WoW
This thing is so easy to fly.
I spent all week reading the manual and looking at forums.
Most important thing I saw is when you power down.
Only use the left stick, down and too the left!
Not like the manual, or you could flip your drone over.
Also only charge your battery to 90%, and down to 50% for the first ten flights.
This helps condition your $120 battery.

Good luck

What did you set take off height too and Rth height too?

Just 'Down' and hold for 3 seconds on the left stick will shut down the motors if the bird is no longer descending.
just be sure your RTH height is higher than surrounding objects as the bird uses LOS on the return and can't 'see' that tree.
