Evening ALL:

I have many questions that I’m looking to this group to help me with.
I have a Phantom 1, I want to take Aerial Photos with my GoPro 3+
I purchased the typical Chinese $50 gimbal on eBay with very bad results, two boards etc……..

What is the saying, “I’m here” and I want to get to the point I can control my GoPro via my IPad or IPhone.

I know I need an Upgraded Board (DJI Phantom 1 upgrade kit for Zenmuse).
Zenmuse has (or did) H3-2D Gimbal, is this the ONLY Gimbal I can upgrade to?

Or are there better ones on the market now?

I thank you very much in advance for your replies.

If you have a Phantom 1, then you're SOL trying to control the GoPro with the wifi app. Both the GoPro and Phantom transmit at 2.4 Ghz, and there is the possibility that it will interfere with your control of the quad.
Those of us who use a GoPro for filming just set it to start filming at takeoff and turn off on landing. You will need a separate 5.8 Ghz setup if you want to view what you're filming.

Thanks Cheebs
You have given me a lot to research etc, Just one other question, How do I control the GoPro with this gimbal?

You can control where it points only, on the vertical axis, with the gimbal control lever on the back of your remote. All other setup is done before takeoff. As far as I know, the only quad/gimbal combo that has full GoPro control is the 3D Robotics Solo.
