Phantom 1 not flying

Phantom 1 not flying, 3 motors twitch on startup and only 1 actually starts, is it a firmware issue or something worse

No idea how it would be FW issue.

Grab it and rotate while motors on. If other motors start - IMU related issue.
If not - look inside and check with multimeter if control and battery power reaches each ESC. If twiched at start, then power is most likely there, so focus on control (PWM signal from FC).

Welcome to the forum! I specialize in this sort of issue. Looks like your IMU might need calibrating, or your ESCs are blown. Spare P1 ESCs. Remember to calibrate you IMU outside! Also, go over every Mosfet on the escs with a meter, and look for any ones that stand out.

IM betting that the previous owner used prop guards and then removed them and refitted the longer screws which have now damaged the motors
