I'm having trouble - after I get a conformation of a link when I go to main screen it says disconnected but I can see graphics the drone is beeping, and all other screens show no signs of life the drone is a WM331A, and the controller is GL300F and I'm using GO 4

Sounds like remote is linked but not your device, (phone or tablet). Can remote control the gimble and motors? If so you need to look at another usb cable or connections, drone would still fly but no video. Any history, pics/vids of screen, etc would be helpful.

First thanx for the help that DJI should be doing (todays my birthday and you are giving me super present thanx again) the remote can make gimble move but not control motors as screen says aircraft disconnected on the screen that asked if I want to link the drone beeps constantly even after linking (I have advance setting set P4P) and when I switch to the main screen it says aircraft disconnected when I switch to the other screens battery's etc. they have no data screen device is apple phone go 4 was downloaded from DJI

If remote keeps beeping it means the control sticks need calibration, that's done in the GO 4 app but has nothing to do with disconnect. Calibrate the sticks then try starting motors again (both sticks inside or outside bottom corners). Your remote and drone are connected/linked but your device is not. Make sure your usb cable is a data cable of good quality, ads often mention 'for drones'.

Was working with a L controller but intermittently need help re-linking etc. its a v1 so I switched to F and am having these problems

yup your right -it's the drone mother board - I had a crashed P4P that had no gimble and a broke arm so I took the gimble from this so I could link and mickey moused a hook up so I could link and it worked

It almost worked with this controller for a bit when I first hooked up but said something was not working properly and told me to upgrade the software if it continued and I did and then it stopped connecting and the beeping started and screen stopped giving info So what do I do now HELP!!!

Did the update you performed complete successfully?

("drone is beeping not controller") Makes me wonder if update completed.

There are parts available from several sources. Just be careful what and where you buy. Try the Google search.
my question is what search for what parts?

Where are you located? Maybe someone here with knowledge can help you in person. I still think your problem might have a simple solution. A forum member @Droneted does P4P repairs, might try a DM with him, he's helped many here before.

Depending on what part(s) you are trying to find(main board), just go to your search engine and type in Phantom 4 Pro _ _ _ _ _ _?
An example would be for a Phantom 4 Pro main board, this is what may come up.
