P4P durability for long flight times

Does anyone have experience with really long flight times? Like, 3 hours, give or take for battery swaps. I would be concerned about continuous heat on the motors. I have a friend who works for a media company and is considering a P4P kit with 7 batteries

I'm wondering if stepping up to an Inspire or Matrice would be a better idea.

I've frequently run up to 5 batteries back to back with no issues.
DJI last year ran a test with a drone (not sure what model) flown non-stop for 72 hrs.

I'm wondering if stepping up to an Inspire or Matrice would be a better idea.

Both are very nice machines but significantly more expensive and much less portable.

It really depends on the heat and how the motors are driven. Running it 7 hours in sport mode in 100* weather is probably not good for the long-term health of the motors, but for normal commercial use it should be fine.

If he's concerned, he could look at getting 2 Phantoms and swap them out on heavy workload days.
