The avoidance isn't nearly as sweet as the DJI promotions proclaim. It is very easy to fly. On the initial flight I told it to RTH and it was off the mark by a fair amount, and I wasn't quick enough to flip it to manual for landing, causing the Phantom to tip over. Nothing broken, small chip in prop. However...it annoyed me that it was nearly 6' off the mark.
It is speedy as heck. It feels "cheap." I'm concerned that it would easily break if it hit anything hard. Strangely enough, it appears to be optimized for forward flight only. Reveals/reverse flight is significantly less smooth than forward flight.
Love the update; love the overall look/design/styling, it sure feels "Apple-like." The iPad interface is a bit clunkier than the Android interface, IMO, which is a bit odd.
