What is the Auto Hold ?

When that switch is in the "P" or "S" position, the Phantom will "auto hold" its position using location data from its internal GPS receiver. When set to the "A" position, it'll drift with the wind.

it's referring to gps - when in sports mode or p mode which also has ON underneath it the aircraft will auto hold its position height and altitude.

You see A for attitude mode also has Off aumderneath it means aircraft will not hold its position and will drift.

Kind of a goofy way to identify switch positions, but it is what it is.

As many times as I have looked at that switch, I checked mine today and that is the first time I have noticed that! Thanks for pointing it out.

Same here. Just took a quick look. Never saw that before, but then I don't look at the back of the controller that much either but I did have to look and "make sure".
