Was shooting a POI when a branch took down my P3S. Following the crash, noticed the camera was facing backward so I turned it back around and seems to be OK. The A/c won't fly, keep getting compass calibration error? Tried several time to re-calibrate but to no avail. Recalibrated the IMU but didn't make any difference. I've attached the Flight data log. Not sure what to look for? Guidance will be most appreciated. Replaced my friends motor on his P3S so I know what the inside is all about... Thanks in advance.

Where did you get the .dat files?
Are they after the crash?

I picked the last DAT file on the list so I'm thinking it was the crash? I did restart the a/c several times while I was trying to recalibrate the compass. The crash was my fault, didn't see a ghost branch.

Were did you get the DAT file?

Should be a .txt file from the mobile device?

Wow, txt file on my mobile phone. Not sure how to retrieve. I hook-up to the a/c and got the DAT file directly loaded onto the computer then attached to this thread. I have a Samsung E5 so I'm lost at this point on where to find a txt file? Help?

Do you see any values for compass readings on the sensor page in the app or do you see only zeros?
Zeros would indicate a compass damaged or disconnected in your crash.

If you see values, where are you trying to calibrate? Are you well clear of magnetic influences?

Just check and showing all zeros? Surprised since I didn't even break a prop, although I did notice the a/c body was opened within a small area right about the placard saying Phantom standard.

Your DAT files you uploaded are going to be to small for flight with a crash. As @Oso is talking about, until you get some numbers other than zero from the compass, you will never get a calibration. Check the wires from the compass to the (some kind of board). :)

There are instructions on retrieving the flight files for the android here.

Thanks to all you fine folks for all the help and guidance. Pulled it into the garage tonight and put it up on the lift. Disassembled the a/c and you guys were spot on. Compass connector was out of its socket. Amazing, since I didn't even chip a prop, but it did take a hard hit from about 90'. However, I need to get a new clam shell and I think when I go to all that trouble I'm going to replace all the motors. I really like this a/c even though I have a P4P. The less expensive P3S is an awesome a/c and I did the antenna upgrade to let it fly a bit further. Again, thanks to you guys on this site. Would have not known where to turn. You guys rock.
