I was did a dumb thing last week by continuing to fly the P3P and not stop and hover when I lost video and ended up hitting a tree the was over 100 feet tall. I was flying a 90 feet when I hit the tree. There does not appear to have any damage to the body but did destroy gimbal and camera.

The question is does anyone have a repair center they like and does anyone have a idea as to what repairs should cost. Trying to decide if it is worth getting it repaired or replacing it.

Thanks
Jim

Had the same thing happen to me. bought P4 1/31/17. Got FAA License and registration. Go up about 200 fights, I fly everyday that permits.OA system on. Contacted DJI and sent it to them. They received it on the 21st.
Today I got notified by Email that it is not covered because of equiment malfunction or warrenty. Cost $277 to fix.
What a rip.

Give us a location. We can't tell what part of the country you are in. I do repairs and I am in Florida. I will be heading to Upstate NY ( Finger Lakes area) next week. How handy are you Jim? I did see your age. I am older than you. I do have compete gimbal assembly's and all you need is your main gimbal board. It even has the camera on it. PM me if you are interested. If you are nearby you can come over and I will assemble it for you. I am near Orlando right now
