Cool!
My take off procedure is a little more complex: first, I let it idle on the ground for a few sec and check for any vibrations. Then I'll quickly ascend to 10-15 ft, and then descend to around 4-5 ft and do a full 360 spin looking for anything that may be amiss (vibrations, odd sounds, etc).
I also usually do a quick once over to check for damage post-flight before packing anything up.
