I crashed my phantom 3 into the learning curve (lake) and now I'm left with a spare battery and remote. Is there anything I need to do with the battery to keep it viable while I work towards replacing the phantom? I know you can set the discharge times and all that, but I can't without the actual machine. I've checked it a few times in the last couple weeks, it still reads fully charged.

Thanks.

If you continue to press the button on the battery, it will not auto discharge down to the storage level (65%). If you plan to store it for more than 2 months, check it after about 2 months and make sure the second light is illuminated or blinking. If it's not, charge the battery until the 3rd light starts blinking. And, repeat this process.

How will he charge it without a Phantom...?

He does not need a Phantom to charge the Phantom battery. However, he will need the battery charger.

Right! Totally spaced on that!

Thanks guys. I'll leave it alone and hopefully it will go to its storage level.
