Oregons wildfires create a choking haze

Last week or so the wildfires were making life hard for Oregon's Columbia gorge residents. All roads were closed leading to the area. Even the freeway was and still is closed due to tree's and rocks falling on it. I didn't get very close, but here's footage shot from 10 miles or so away from it. The fire was started by a teenager with fireworks. Last I heard the size was over 30,000 acres burned. It is heavily forested and rough terrain.

A serious situation. but your video still made me laugh. When you came in for a landing and kicked up all the ash I thought to myself, "Yikes, he regrets doing that."
No sooner did I think it than I read your on screen text. I laughed out loud.

Cool video and music / sounds. The end with the ash in the headlights sort of felt like the beginning of an old horror movie on Netflix or something. Thanks for sharing.

Nice music that fits the apocalyptic mood. The segment with the ash from the prop wash is very cool (from an effects perspective).

We had one here in SW New Mexico a few years back that eventually grew to 1.3 million acres, one HELL of a fire. Snowed ash in town here a few times during that and we were 30+ miles away.

In that fire visibility in town got to quarter mile or less when the wind was in our direction.

From this spring during fire season. Nothing big (over 20,000 acres)
