Noob here who needs advice

One piece of advice for the fc40 camera. Take a string, bread tie, zip tie or the like and put it through one of the rubber pieces and around the outer mount and the inner camera holder. Don't make it so tight that it compresses the rubber piece or doesn't allow it to expand. It's not that the fc40 cam is fragile, it just comes apart easy, and that'll keep you from losing you're camera if it cones apart mid flight.

D'oh! Just had my first real crash. I was up around what I would guess is 40-50 ft, when I somehow lost control of it. I was worried, since there was a river close by and it was going in that direction. I panicked, and put the throttle all the way down. Luckily, it landed in grass.

I was filming during this, so I have som black box footage. I'll post it once I get it on vimeo

At least your bird not hurt and maybe you will learn from your mistake what ever it was !
