Even if it works fine when you receive it, a "knock-off" is subject to quit working any time you do a firmware upgrade.

My brand new P3S with about 5 minutes of flight time is back with DJI after a firmware upgrade broke it. Cheap battery or expensive drone, either one a firmware will break. So I won't be doing any firmware updates any time soon once I finally get my drone back.....

I was given one of those generic batteries and it will never see air time. I use it to test only. I have very little trust in those.
