I have experienced this with all my quads but I really would like to know specially about the I1. Last night I was to fly it 4200 feet. It started have "weak remote signal" at 1600 feet but I would stop gain a bit more height and signal would come back and I would continue on. I was able to get out to 4200 feet but today I couldn't get past 2100 feet. Solar activity etc looked ok today. Anyone have experience with this?

3. Can they be turned off remotely as well as changing the colors so that they dont interfere with still photos at night? Light bounce.

Range to turn off the lights will be pretty short. Did you wire directly into the Phantom battery?

If you look inside the battery bay you will see two terminals. You wire them directly to that it think.

hmm anywhere else to order the second part as on amazon it says currently unavailable? Amazon.com: HOSdog Bright Head Light Kit with Adapter Cord for DJI Phantom 2 Vision Quadcopter ,White: Toys & Games do you think this brand would work? or better to wait for the other to become available again?
