Ummm..... Just got my Nexus 7 2012 and the DJI Vision app is telling me that my device is not compatible with this version????

Nevah mind... I'm a pro geek. I figured out how to DL the APK and install from the tablet. Looks nice, btw !!! :D :D :D

Hey Slinger. This comment was a BIG help getting the DJI app to load and install into my new Nexus 7 1st edition. The "APK" term helped the most. Thanks a bunch. Updating firmware over the holiday. Maybe a quick flight on Christmas day if it's not too cold. Haven't heard much more about cold weather flying crashes though.. still a bit nervous about that. Happy Holidays!!

AWESOME!!! Glad you're squared away, dude... I'm really loving this Nexus both on and off the TX. There's a bunch of nice apps out there for it. Enjoy yours and enjoy the holidays... Happy and safe flying, bro...

I'm using a nexus 7.

Some observations:
The video isn't filling the nice high def screen, there's a big black border around it, but that's easily fixable with a new release of the software. Otherwise, I think the 7" screen is a big improvement over my smaller iphone.
Glare on the screen is a problem. I've got a glare-reducing film on order which should help (Nu-Shield). If that doesn't work, I found a hood aimed at video photographers that may also help (http://amzn.com/B003KV3R1K)

For mounting the tablet, I use these two items together (similar to ipad mini setup some other users have):
http://amzn.com/B005EWTJU6
http://amzn.com/B00B149NIE

I have wifi-only version, so I can't see any maps when using the 'Find my Vision' function, but the gps works and you do see a pin for yourself and the phantom.

Mike B, can you post pictures of your Nexus 7 mounting rig? I can't picture how you used the two items from Amazon.

Above post that's the same holder for a nexus 7 tablet, hope it helps , you just buy the holder and unscrew the original holder, then the ball on the new one fits the old one.

I stumbled upon another way to mount your tablet (up to 7") to your Radio Control that works VERY well and is nice, neat and clean and requires two parts.

Here's my youtube video explaining and demonstrating it.

It combines a Tarot radio control FPV mount

and a Square Jellyfish mini tablet tripod mount.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CXG ... UTF8&psc=1

You will need a 1.5mm 2.0mm and 3.0mm allen keys for setting this up.

If you would like to mount your Smartphone to the same Tarot Holder instead of your tablet Square Jellyfish also has a mount for that. Here's the link.

I will add a couple of still pictures of the setup later when I have the chance to resize the images.

Hello Gunslinger
I also just puchased a Nexus 7 2012 and font find a way to upload de vision app. The nexus is running on Android 5.0.2 , what should I do to make it work?

Just moved over to using a Phantom 2 Vision after not getting my money's worth out of my P2/H33D/GoPro setup.... I sold the latter and saved over £400 moving to a P2 Vision. Anyway, what are my best options for mounting a Nexus 7 to the DJI transmitter? I would like the mount to be white, and fairly compact so it matches the original setup and is easily transportable. Thank you.

I specifically purchased the Nexus 7 (2013 model) for the Vision. It's been an awesome tablet. No problems what so ever for a year.

Haven't read through the entire thread, but do all your tables have data plans along with it? I could use my 7" tablet, but it is wifi only.
