It actually does make a difference. The A & B controllers are totally different from one another internally. They are so much so that each requires it's own firmware. Some believe that because they now in fact use the same firmware on each controller that they have bailed out on possibly the A controllers processor. I can't say 100% how much any of this has an effect on the A controller, or controller B based on firmware.
