Newby questions !

Hey all, Looks like ill be getting a dji phantom 3 standard shortly and i have some questions. 1: do i need a smart phone to fly? 2: could i use my daughters inactive iphone 6 to fly ? 3: what are the must haves for this drone? and 4: what upgrades would make it capable like p4 ?

You can fly without a mobile device after activating your Phantom in DJI GO, but it's not a good idea. DJI GO provides valuable information as you fly.

Welcome[emoji51] to the community. I've had my standard for a month and it comes pretty well stock from the box. Just make sure you study up before you fly because there's more pre flight steps than just a toy grade quad. But you'll love it! I'd only suggest an extra battery just starting off. Be safe flying.
