New Videos, and a few questions!

Hey guys, Just received my Phantom FC40 about a week ago. Absolutely loving it! Got a few shots this past weekend, check it out and let me know what you think.

Also, I've been thinking about investing in a gimbal... the price for the nice ones have been turning me off though.. Saw a few videos of custom made ones and also found a few relatively cheap ones on ebay. Not sure about the quality of these ones and how well they work, check it out and let me know what you think.

-Is this a complete Gimbal setup? Im assuming I'll have to assemble, are they hard to ? Also, can someone educate me on how these are controlled manually? would that be easy to add on to a setup like this? Thanks every one, sorry for the noob questions :lol:

Gimbals are great and there are expencive ones and cheaper ones. The one you linked to is normally refered to as a "GLB or Good Luck Buy" gimbal. that one in that link looks to be an early one. Nothing wrong with it and it will work. Its not as nice as the others though....I went with one that was a bit newer. It works just fine for now. But i will probably upgrade sometime. You can control the pitch with these gimbals via the "7th channel" (Google it...youll find it). There is no set up really...plug in a couple things and screw it to the bottom...thats about it.

can I connect any brand gimbal to my stock phantom? If so how do you hook up the gimbal so it can communicate with the phantom - then to the phantoms 7th channel built in for the remote??

This video should help although its not on the phantom. Also I had to attach the ground wire also.

Might have found the solution to one of my questions! I wasnt sure how to connect a gimbal to the quad.. this video seemed to clear things up! can any one confirm the accuracy of the information in this video?

Update: Just ordered the Chinese goodluckbuy gimbal we'll see how this goes! :mrgreen:
