If you upgrade to the new board it will lighten your load quite a bit.

Right, if you gimbal is operating now with all the extras that are in the Phantom case, you are good to go.

If you are buying the Zenmuse gimbal, then buy the upgrade main board as well. You will not have to purchase the
PMU V-2 module, or use the GCU V-1 module, that comes with the gimbal.
It will save you a lot of headache, trying to stuff all the modules, and wires inside the shell. The cost is almost the same
as the PMU V-2 , plus you get the lever kit for the DJI tx.
