Installed a Feiyu Tech FY-G3 2 Axis gimbal to my Phantom and did a first test flight this evening. The gimbal worked fine. Required a little more throttle to hover. Total weight was 1089g with battery gimbal and Gopro 3+.
At one point, I flew towards some birds in a tree and clipped a branch. The Phantom took off out of control and nearly flew away. I switched to ATTI mode and was able to regain some control. It was still difficult to fly. When I would lower the throttle it would drop like a rock. It was all I could do to keep from crashing to the ground. Finally got it to land rather roughly with red lights flashing.
Upon inspection, I found a broken prop which explains a lot of the behavior. Nothing else was damaged. Gimbals works fine.
