My dji phantom 3 pro can fly longer than 500M from strarting point??

I have a dji phantom 3 pro and i stands on the box that it can travel 2000 meters from startingpoint, but mine can only go to 500meters ? was upp with that ?

That max distance setting is labeled in a confusing way. Turning off max distance actually enables max distance. Come on now!
