My daughter is the devil. Easy repair?

My daughter (who is the 2yo spawn of satan) bashed my P3S with a god **** weeble. Cracked the gimbal mounting plate.. I left it on the table for one minute.,

I see the screws that hold it on and it looks easy enough. Ordered a new one (£7).. Does the ribbon cable simply unplug from the camera?
