Mod Ideas for Phone Clip?

One small issue I have with my P2V and GoPro Case(http://www.goprocases.com/xb-dji-fpv.aspx) is that I can't keep the Phone Clip on to fit nicely in my case... So I take it on and off for every flight, and drop a screw almost every time. I could cut my case more but when I have done this in the past with camera cases I wasn't happy with the results of the cutting. So any ideas on something I could pickup at a hardware store to turn the camera clip attachment into a clamp?

It randomly came to me to leave the stand connected to the controller and instead just remove the clip only. This works well, i just have to rotate the stand to sit against the controller and store the clip in another compartment. Then I attach the clip in just a few seconds, no screw driver, no dropped screws, no case modification needed.
