Thanks Paul, those laws look almost exactly the same as here, so that's great. Looks like I need to pack the Phantom on my next trip to Scotland!

Interestingly, it looks as though you can fly over people's houses, as long as you are 50 metres high? We can't do that here, which seems very odd.
 
Yes, technically you can, although with a camera data protection rules kick so in reality, no you can't.
But yes, bring the Phantom, there are some great views in Scotland, Wales, England, Ireland..... lots to see and film. So far, the CAA have taken a light touch to drones... the idiot press and knee jerk politicians will change that eventually, but for now, it's all good!
also, despite what some people say (i'm looking at you, brexiters), we have tons of open space, mountains (small ones, but nicely formed), rivers, streams, rain, fog...
