My place of employment asked me to come out and take some aerial footage of yesterday's 25th annual truck show. This is my first professional drone, so I'm still honing in on my skills. Thanks for watching.

I hope you have AMA insurance if you're flying over all those people and expensive vehicles.

Otherwise, cool footage and try to be safe.

Funny u mention that. I was speaking with another Phantom 3 pilot at the show who happens to have the AMA insurance and asked me to join her club. Thank god nothing bad happened.

Would AMA insurance cover a crash in such a situation? The AMA National Safety Code says:

B. RADIO CONTROL (RC)
All pilots shall avoid flying directly over unprotected people, vessels, vehicles or structures and shall avoid endangerment of life and property of others.

I haven't seen the specific policy, but I'm guessing that you have to abide by the safety code rules to have coverage for an event.

Anyone know more?

Chris
