Is anyone aware of any software or anyway of using the p4p to measure water volumes in dams or ponds where the surface can not be seen due to depths.
if anyone has any ideas or can help it would be very much appreciated. : )

You can measure the surface area with a drone but won't be able to calculate volumes unless you know what's under the water.
