I was flying Mavic aircraft yesterday and was only 500 ft. From controller and it lost GPS signal. The aircraft started fly by itself the return to home did not work and luckily I finally got it to land. Has anyone else had something like this happen?

It cannot return to home without GPS, if that is what occurred.
If you simply lost video feed, that is another issue. GPS is REQUIRED for an RTH of any kind.
