Mavic pro quality problems

I am seriously considering the purchase of a mavic pro. My son has a phantom 4 and I wanted something to fly with him that was different and more compact. I read a lot of reviews on Amazon that said there were quality control issues with the mavic and the firmware. Just wanted to see if this was a known issue or disgruntled people who crashed their drone and wanted dji to fix it.

I don't have a Mavic Pro but everyone that own one are very happy with their product. I have not hear or read any issue about the Mavic.

The MP and MPP are the least problematic of all the DJI Drones, maybe you should consider the Mavic Air, it's even more compact

I have both a P4 and a Mavic pro, and both have been faultless. The video quality from the Mavic is not as good, and I feel it is less stable in windy conditions, but it is quiet and compact.
The Mavic gets used more than the P4, but I enjoy both.
You should have very few if any problems with the Mavic pro.

Thanks for all of the responses. I really like the p4. Just wanted something different so me and my son could switch off flying each other’s drones.
