With todays newest firmware DJI offers an optional update of the NFZ database. I only upgraded the firmware and skipped the NFZ part. I'm wondering if it implies an intensified interpretation of where not to fly.
DJI defines regular rules that in some cases may not reflect local regulations.

In their own words:
"The GEO system is advisory only... DJI has selected widely-recommended general parameters (such as a 1.5 mile radius at airports) without making any determination of whether this guidance matches regulations that may apply specifically to you."

Just took mine out for a test flight after upgrade and everything is working ok. One thing I noticed is no battery upgrade... I switched batteries after the upgrade expecting to get "firmware mismatch" but didn't ....

- Updated No-Fly Zone Management.
- Added lock gimbal function to fix the gimbal to its current position.
- Added AFC function to support continuous auto focus when switching between scenes.
- Upgraded D-Log color mode to extend dynamic range.

What other changes are in the update?

Also note Litchi seems to feel that there is some sort of bug in 1.03.0418

Litchi Firmware Update Alert

Sounds like some nice updates, just be careful with Litchi for the time being.

There was a recent thread concerning poor NFZ resolution, it could be that the update fixes the inaccuracies rather than adding new zones.

So, when I go to the DJI website to download the newest Assistant software it still pukes with this message:

It's been doing this for about 5 days now so DJI just doesn't give a sh!t about it -- hey, we tried, what more do you want...

Just got this from Autopilot:
There is currently an issue with the latest DJI firmware for the Mavic Pro, Phantom 4 Pro and Inspire 2 which causes erratic flight behavior in Autopilot. We do not recommend* using Autopilot with these aircraft types until a resolution has been found for this issue. If you are using firmware 01.03.0200 or below, you should not see these issues.

* It is still possible to safely use Human Flight Control Modes and Waypoint Mode as long as Lost Connection is set to Continue Mission (LCMC).

We will send out another correspondence when this issue has been resolved.

Thanks for your understanding!

Update using DJI GO 4 app. MUCH easier and way less hassle.

P4P+ update not working on my remote controller on SD card or download method. Getting error "Update Failed. Error code: 800" using SD and "Update Package Broken. Download again?" via download method. Anyone get the RC update to work?

So, when I go to the DJI website to download the newest Assistant software it still pukes with this message:
Is it mandatory to use the very latest version of Assistant to install the new firmware? I think prior versions will work as well (although I haven't tried it yet.)

Makes you think what is so messed up with this new update that both Litchi and Autopilot have to send out warnings!!
It may not be so much a bug in the firmware as there having been some (poorly announced, if at all, per DJI SOP) changes made that affect the way the SDK integrates. If this is the case then Litchi and Autopilot will be the ones that have to react.

I wonder what the "Lock gimbal fuction" is all about?
