I have been turning on my tablet trying to get the update banner, map has been the google map, which is great.
Today i turn on tablet and map is gray, then i noticed the "here" symbol.
It took a long time to load the map and it is a lousy satellite photo, and pretty old

Try to do a roll back. The option should be available on the app and then see if the original Google map comes back.

How do you do an app roll back?
I knew there was an option to roll back to one earlier firmware version, but didn't know there was an option in app to roll back the app.

This thread seem similar to this one,

Problems with map, and new version of app.

DJI GO doesn't show the aircraft position

Maybe not

Rolling back?

Then scroll to software, don't click the software shortcut.

LOL. its not the same topic. In this thread we discuss about the latest DJI GO APP using new map called "here map". "Here map" satellite imagery is outdated in some areas.

You have to do a rollback at previews DJI versions that worked with Google maps.
Unfortunately their latest version 3.1 doesn't support Google maps and uses here maps.
Here you will find all previews version of DJI Go app for Android phones and tablets.
Scroll down the page and voila..

Yes, I didn't catch the app from an app, was just focused on your first line.

"How do you do an app roll back?"
