Just start using my new P4P, automatic settings, and realize that still images are only 4000 x 2250, the quality is poor, not what I expected.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your advices.

That's photo is actual great quality when you view it on a 4k screen, not sure how it could be any better straight out of the AC, maybe some tweaking in post production

For starters, according to the OP, it’s only a 9 mpix image (just above your 4K screen native so should look ok).

To get the highest resolution I take stills in 3:2 ratio.

I suspect that you are shooting a jpg file while recording video.
You'll get a much bigger file if you switch to Stills Mode which will give you a choice between:
3:2 Aspect Ratio: 5472 × 3648
4:3 Aspect Ratio: 4864 × 3648
16:9 Aspect Ratio: 5472 × 3078
... or, since your pixel dimensions don't exactly match the video image sizes of the P4 pro, ...
Are you sure you have a P4 pro?
The P4 shoots 4000 px wide?
