The experiences of others (as posted here and otherwise ahared) strongly suggest that simply is not the case re DJI's position,

There are "Wind rivers" up high. You may not notice the wind lower, but up higher currents exist. I also see the battery temp is a bit high...

Right where I am standing there is a very pleasant mild breeze with the occasional gust. I would happily fly. UAV forecast is telling me iits over 30km/hr at 300ft and from past experience that might be correct. I could still reduce altitude and make it home though if I was paying attention to the telemetry and started to struggle up higher.
