As I said and others agree later - control was never lost according your first post.

Clicking the S2 switch would have you sorted and AC going home.

Many of these lost contact events at end of day are literally unsolvable. To survive we learn and remember the basic controller commands.

I don't mean to be harsh in that comment. Just that the S2 switch will get you out of most problems.
